Day 1 of Barre Blend

So today I committed to completing a 60 day fitness program. I would’t say that’s exactly a surprise, cuz I enjoy working out. I’ve completed many a programs. When I workout I feel good – I eat better – my mood is better – I’m more productive – I could go on and on.

BUT today was different. It was different because this was a low impact, high intensity endeavor. By no means was it easy, but it was simple. It was simple REPETITIVE moves. This was much different than my favorite HIIT program. This was Barre and this was just what I needed.

For the past 7 or 8 weeks I’ve been sorta struggling to effectively complete any sorta cardio. Stairs have been struggle, running is out of the question and many things in between have been a no-no for me. So I’ve resorted to Pilates and Yoga. Both of which I enjoy doing…on my active recovery days.

With my current limitations, I’m fully empracing my Barre program and can’t wait to show you the results. Today was day 1, stay tuned as I share my journey on what I beleive may be my new favorite fitness past time :-).
