Healthy body, healthy mind

What’s more costly than healthy food?  BAD HEALTH.

Our health is an investment and what we do NOW determines sooo much of where we’ll be in our future.  We only get one body, and I don’t know about you but I don’t want to get to retirement and not be physically able to ENJOY it and go on adventures!!

One of my favorite ways to save $$ and buy organic produce on a budget?  Farmers markets! They’re often less $$ than grocery stores and they double as great dates and family outings!!  We love to take the dog, snag some treats from the food trucks, and choose fresh flowers to take home along with the fruits and veggies!!

If you don’t have farmers markets near you and still want to buy organic as much as possible, there are some tricks. You can get away with buying SOME organic and some not.  Google something called “The Dirty 30” for a full list of things you should DEFINITELY buy organic because they absorb pesticides! (like apples and potatoes!)

Some fruits and veggies you DON’T have to buy organic?  Anything with a thick skin or rind you have to peel. Think avocados, bananas and citrus!

Do you have a market near you??
